The Ghosts Special Operations Airsoft Team strives for excellence in the sport of airsoft. The way that the Ghost Team operates is much different than other airsoft teams of its kind. As you will notice, other teams may project themselves after a popular MOS or job in the Military or Law Enforcement. This limits their knowledge-ability of other tactics and manuevers. The Ghosts on the other hand, operate on a broader spectrum. Ghost Airsoft does not portray themselves after a specific fighting force. The Ghosts utilize the Army Combat Uniform as their standard issue uniform. The team Commander holds the position of 18A, who is responsible for commanding the team and overseeing all operations. The Second in command, Operations Sergeant, upholds the position of 18Z; which is the E-8 Master Sergeant responsible for the training and building of Ghost Recruits.
Before becoming a Ghost, all Recruits try out as an 18X, E-1. Each recruit must complete a challenging 4 Phase training process which may exceed a few months. After completion of training, the recruit is a member of The Ghosts Special Operations Airsoft Team but not yet an Operator. The member now chooses a combat effective, and non-combat effective MOS.
Ghost Airsoft Operates out of two areas, Tallahassee FL-GA North and Coral Springs FL-GA South. Each Team operates as a fireteam with a detachable supprt unit, whether it be the DM, Sniper Team, or basic support elements. Ghost Airsoft trains on a regular basis to make sure they stay at 100% combat effectiveness.

The Ghost Airsoft Team is divided into two combative elements. The Assault Team and The Designated Marksman. Though the two Units are different, they act in unison to complete the objective. Each member of the team has a non-combat role which they complete to keep the team cohesive.

ASSAULT
The Assault Team has a primary objective of working with The Designated Marksman to complete the mission. The Assault Team is in constant radio communication with The DM. The DM calls out targets and gives The Assault Team information on the situation so they can formulate a battle plan. The Assault Team primarily storms bunkers and effectively apply flanking movements on the enemy.
The Assault Team has the ability to modify their weapons for what ever the circumstance. The team utilizes RIS Rails with forgrips 4X32 zoom scopes RED/GREEN dot scopes and iron sites. The team customizes their weapons depending on the mission, in a stealth mission where one of your primary objectives is to remain unseen, a silencer is a useful tool.

DESIGNATED MARKSMAN
The DM is a very important tool on the battlefield. Often confused with a sniper, The DM is still apart of the infantry of the fireteam, but he has the ability to detach from the fireteam to conduct his own objectives. The DM has the psychology of the battlefield in his hands. With the ability to take out targets from an unidentified position, often keeps the enemy in unrest. If the enemy drops and the OPFOR doesnt know where the shot came from, the cohesion is lost and the enemy is vulnerable. The DM has a primary objective of working hand and hand with The Assault Team, often detaching and overwatching for The Assault Team. The DM is the man who The Commander dedicates the long range battle to. The DM can kill a unit of enemy soldiers with a few shots, where as if The Assault Team handled the situation, it could have possibly taken a suppression and leapfrog manuever, using hundreds of rounds.
The Designated Marksmans weapon system varies on the type of environment in which the combat is held. The Ghosts DM uses a converted solid stock CAR97 with a Harris retractable bi-pod and a 3-9X32 MILDOT scope. This customization gives The DM the ability to take the long range shots, while linked up with the fireteam, and is not out of the fight due to range issues.
